Six of a family die as car plunges into ravine near Murree

MURREE: Six members of a family died after a car plunged into a ravine near Murree Sunday evening, rescue sources said.

The incident occurred in Bangara village, rescue sources said, adding the deceased included four minors.

The deceased have been identified as Haji Asif, his son Faisal Abbasi, and four grandsons.

The bodies were shifted to a local hospital for further formalities.

On April 30, at least 11 people were killed while many others were injured when a bus plunged into a ravine Sunday morning near Upper Dir.

According to the police, the bus was en route to Chitral when it fell into the ravine near Lowari Top.

Ten people died on the spot, while the injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital, where one of the injured succumbed to the wounds.

A woman and three children were among the deceased.
