A shooter opened fire at a Florida high school on Wednesday, killing 17 people and sending hundreds of students fleeing into the streets before being taken into custody by law enforcement, authorities said.
The bloodshed was the latest outbreak of gun violence that has become a regular occurrence at US schools and colleges.
