FAISALABAD: Provision of best services to consumers is top priority of FESCO Board of Directors (BOD).
This was stated by Rana Mushtaq Chairman Load Management Committee Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) while addressing a review meeting to discuss load management problems here on Thursday.
He said that FESCO was ranked top among various Distribution Companies (DISCOS) because of its minimum line losses and excellent performance.
He said that entire credit goes to FESCO management as well as hardworking employees.
He said that efforts are also being made to upgrade and furbish the distribution network in upcoming summer season.
He said that BOD will give top priority to the interests of FESCO employees as well as its consumers.
He assured that BOD will make concerted efforts to provide maximum relief to the consumers through the effective management of available electricity.
He said that the board will also make efforts to provide maximum electricity to the industrial as well as agriculture sector.
Director BOD Mian Hamid Javed stressed the need for a positive behavioral change in the attitude of FESCO employees towards its consumers.
He stressed for consumers friendly approach to discourage wastage of energy. In this connection, a save-energy campaign would be launched in collaboration with local media, he added.
Director BOD Wasif Majeed said that board was fully aware of the problems being confronted by FESCO employees and efforts would be made to resolve them on top priority basis.
He also underlined the need for the expeditious redressal of consumers complaints without any inordinate delay.
Earlier, Manager Operation Jhang Circle Tofeeq Akbar Azad briefed the BOD and said that Jhang Circle was catering to the needs of 0.9 million consumers through 209 feeders.
"We are also purchasing electricity locally from Shakar Ganj Sugar Mills Jhang and Ramzan Sugar Mills Bhowana to ensure maximum electricity supply to the industrial, commercial and agriculture sectors", he added.
Later, the BOD inquired about the problems of the engineering staff and assured to resolve them at the earliest.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Engineer O&M FESCO Shakeel Ahmed, Director BOD Balqees Akhtar Hashmi, Deputy Managers Operation and Assistant Managers Operation.
