Religious scholar killed in Srinagar blast

SRINAGAR: Chairman Jamaat Ahlihadees, Molvi Showkat Ahmed Shah was killed and several others were in a blast in the mosque of Srinagar on Friday, Geo News reported.

The prominent religious reader, Moulvi Showkat Shah lost his life after a powerful blast rocked the mosque minutes after he and others arrived at Masjid-e-Ahli-Hadees to offer Jumma prayers.

Moulana Showkat Shah was critically injured. He was rushed to local hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Moulana had survived life several bids in the past few years.
