Asian Parliamentary Assembly conference kicks off in Gwadar

GWADAR: A three-day conference of Asian Parliamentary Assembly's Standing Committee on Political Affairs and the Special Committee for the Creation of an Asian Parliament began in Gwadar on Monday.

The conference being hosted by the Senate of Pakistan will help project Gwadar in a befitting manner and bring parliamentary leadership of Asia together to promote peace and development.

Over 100 parliamentarians from 26 Asian countries, including China, Saudi Arabia and Iran, are participating in the conference.

Acting President Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani received the delegates at Gwadar Airport. The delegates were accorded a warm welcome upon arrival.
