Roohi Bano is well and at brother's house: sister

LAHORE: Renowned Pakistani actor Roohi Bano, who was said to have gone missing last night, is at her brother's house and doing well, her sister said on Friday. 

Reports had emerged yesterday that the former actor, who has long been suffering from a mental disorder, had disappeared from her home in Lahore.

However, Bano’s sister Rubina confirmed today that she is at their brother’s home.

“My sister is fine and she is at our brother’s house. She only goes to the Fountain House [a mental health institute] for a check-up,” Rubina clarified.

Bano, a well-educated and presidential award-winning actor, is said to be suffering from schizophrenia. Her only son, Ali, was murdered in 2005.

According to reports, the actor visits Fountain House for treatment, where a room is dedicated to her.
