ASF takes actor Asad Malik in custody for possessing weapon with expired license

LAHORE: Famed drama actor Asad Malik was taken into custody Monday night here at the Allama Iqbal International Airport over the possession of an automatic weapon that had an expired license.

According to the Airport Security Forces (ASF) sources, Malik, who was travelling from Lahore to Karachi, was taken into custody after an automatic weapon was recovered from his luggage during checking before boarding the flight.

The weapon's license was expired, the sources added.

Sources also mentioned that the actor has already served a jail term in the past for the murder of two people in Karachi.
