Fire at shop near Karachi's Char Minar Chowrangi doused

KARACHI: A fire that had erupted late Thursday night at a shop here near Char Minar Chowrangi in the metropolis' Bahadurabad area was doused under an hour, rescue and fire officials said.

Earlier, when the blaze had swept through the shop, the fire brigade had responded by dispatching two of its vehicles that eventually managed to control and douse the flames.

The degree of destruction caused by the fire remained unknown.
