Priyanka Chopra gets wax statue at Madame Tussauds in New York

Madame Tussauds museum on Thursday unveiled its first-ever wax statue of Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas in New York City.

The actress was on hand for the reveal and posed with her figure at the event.

Sharing pictures on her Instagram, the actress revealed that her wax figure will also be launched in other cities across the world including London, Sydney and Asia later this year.

"Me when I saw my new wax figure at Madame Tussauds in NYC @nycwax (Coming to other locations soon!!) 4 figures. UK, Australia, Asia coming up! Thank you to the Madame Tussaud's, the actress said in a priceless expression after seeing her statue," she wrote on Instagram.

According to reports, Chopra, 36, worked closely with Madame Tussauds artists, including a private session inside her New York City apartment, choosing to recreate her 2016 Emmy Awards look with a stunning custom red gown by Jason Wu.

And of course, the figure wouldn’t be complete without some very important bling: a replica of the actor’s diamond ring from her nuptials to Nick Jonas.

The Madame Tussauds' official Twitter page also released a video of the making of the statue.

This is Chopra’s first wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Her statue joins the likes of other Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan, Virat Kohli, Asha Bhosle and others.
