PM Khan takes notice of NAB's arrest of KP Director Archaeology & Museums

PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday took notice of the arrest a day prior of the director of archaeology and museums for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Dr Abdul Samad, by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Responding to a post by Twitter user Ismail Khan, Khan tweeted that the NAB chief "should take action" against people who are behind "this disgraceful act".

"The NAB Chairman should take action against those in his institution who are responsible for this disgraceful act," the premier wrote.

Earlier, Ismail Khan had tweeted about the arrest of Dr Samad, saying, "NAB brought the only PhD in Sanskrit, in Asia from Germany, a Fulbright scholar and a gold medalist in archeology [sic], Dr. Samad, to court for employing low paid workers to ward off illegal excavations.

"What a shame! Why should anybody serve here!"
