LHC judge Justice Farrukh Irfan resigns

A judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan has resigned from his post, sources informed Geo News on Tuesday.

Justice Farrukh has sent his resignation for President Arif Alvi with sources adding he has also informed the Supreme Judicial Council of his decision.

He was appointed as a judge of the LHC on 20 February 2010 with his tenure set to conclude on 22 June 2020.

The Supreme Judicial Council was hearing a misconduct reference against Justice Farrukh after his name surfaced in the Panama Papers list of individuals with offshore companies.
