Tando Muhammad Khan rape case: Suspects sent on four-day remand to police

TANDO MUHAMMAD KHAN: Two suspects in the alleged rape and forced intoxication of a 13-year-old gypsy girl were sent on a four-day physical remand to police.

According to Salahuddin Rustmani, the station house officer (SHO) for City, the suspects were presented in a special magistrate's court. They had raped her three days ago, he added.

The police official said the survivor was undergoing treatment in Tando Muhammad Khan District Hospital.

On the other hand, the civil society in Hyderabad staged a protest outside the local press club wherein they demanded strict punishment for the rapists in order to set an example.
