ISLAMABAD: Most of the areas will remain in the grip of hot and dry weather however the upper parts of the country can receive rain along with thunder and lightening in the next 24 hours, Geo News reported.
Twin cities along with Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Qallat Division and areas adjoining Kashmir are expected to receive downpour.
The other two provinces, Sindh and Balochistan, are not relieved from the grip of hot and dry weather as no rain is expected in the next few days, DG Met Arif Mehmood told Geo News.
High temperatures were recorded in majority of the cities in the past 24 hours, however, some areas in Punjab and Kashmir enjoyed rain along with windstorm.
The highest temperature of 47 degree Celsius was recorded in Sibbi on Monday.
