UNITED NATIONS: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday reiterated his concern over the alarming human rights situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir, suggested reports.

Indian-occupied Kashmir has been under lock-down since August 5, when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi scrapped the constitutional autonomy of the occupied territory and imposed a military curfew.

In a statement made to the press late on Friday, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said the situation in Kashmir was worsening, where nearly eight million people are living in an open prison without their basic rights.
