Ajmal Kasab's birthday coincides with blasts

MUMBAI: Many Indian media outlets are claiming the three deadly explosions in Mumbai Wednesday coincide with the birthday of Ajmal Kasab.

Conflicting reports indicated Kasab was born on July 13, 1987.

According to his prison confession, Kasab was actually born on September 13, 1987.

The 24-year-old is the lone terrorist captured in connection to the November 26, 2008 shooting and bombing attacks on India's financial capital.

He was sentenced to death last May for his role in the 60-hour terrorist siege that left 166 people dead. Kasab remains in Indian police custody.
