Poverty, cruelty take life of 15-year-old girl

OBARO: A 15-year old girl Shahzadi Sammo died in Obaro after suffering from stomach and skin ailments for more than three months, Geo News reported Monday.

Shahzadi Sammo was suffering from stomach ailments and bruised skin. After the death of her father and mother’s second marriage, her brothers who were supposed to be her lifeline kicked her out of the house after beating her up.

Shahzadi had spent three months on a bench outside a mosque in Obaro and Geo News had reported her plight on July 3.

“My brother’s wife beat me and said you should get out of the house you are sick. My brothers did not help with my treatment” Shahzadi was quoted as saying during that interview.

Shahzadi succumbed to her illness and her body was found lying on the main road in Obaro.
