KHANEWAL: A police officer was suspended on Tuesday after he allegedly broke into a woman's house, forcibly stripped off her clothes and made her 'dance' for him after she refused a 'friendship' offer from him.

The victim, a bus hostess who resides in Khanewal's Makhdoompur, has alleged that her abuser, a local station house officer (SHO), wished to 'befriend' her and persistently sent her indecent messages.

The SHO, afraid of his messages being disclosed, broke into her house and seized her phone, the victim stated. He then forced her to strip and dance for him.

Khanewal District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shahzad consequently suspended the said SHO and assigned the Saddar deputy superintendent of police (DSP) to lead an inquiry into the matter.

A forensic report of the incident will be issued soon, Shahzad assured.
