KARACHI: The Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB) Sunday said that despite a lapse of 98 hours power supply to the Gharo Pumping Station has not been restored.
The statement issued here also added the power supply to Pipri Pumping Station has been off for the last 18 hours to boot.
Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) said it was a cable fault that led to this power-cut and its field force is working on it, the statement further said.
Managing Director KW&SB Misbahuddin Fareed has appealed to the KESC officials that keeping the holy month of Ramadan in view, the fault should be repaired on war footings.
He added even after the fault is removed, the water supply would take 24 to 48 hours to resume.
He also advised the people to use water wisely as well as sparingly. (APP)
