October 9 market closing update: Gold surges by Rs900 per tola

KARACHI: A single tola of 24-karat gold in Pakistan was being sold at Rs114,400 at the close of trading on Friday, with the price of the precious metal having increased by Rs900 over the course of the day. 

Likewise, the price of 10 grammes of 24k gold rose to Rs98,080 at the close of trading Friday, up by nearly Rs750. 

The price of 22kt gold per tola also registered an increase to Rs104,865.
