LAHORE: After two more patients lost their lives to Dengue, the total number of victims has surged to 183 in the city while 203 have died across Punjab, Geo News reported. The total number of those suffering from the virus stands at 15,535 in Punjab out of which 13,347 cases have been reported in Lahore.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said efforts are underway to prevent the spread of the virus while the government is also taking steps to tackle the virus during the coming season.
Sharif said six cell separator machines have been imported which will be installed in Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi.
Sharif instructed the concerned authorities to ensure a better cleaning process in hospitals and ordered for tubwells' to be inspected. He lauded the efforts of the Indonesian team in creating awareness and training local doctors and paramedical staff.
