LAHORE: Federal Commerce Minister, Makhdoom Amin Faheem has said that talks were underway for giving India a passageway to Afghanistan and added that with a boost in Pak-India trade the region would prosper.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Carpet Association’s trade fair here and later talking to media, Amin Faheem said that soon a decision would be made relating to giving India a passageway to Afghanistan. Federal minister said that a major headway was expected next month in secretary- level talks on Pak-India trade. India has already started issuing multiple visas valid for one year to Pakistani traders.
Amin Faheem said that the volume of trade between the two countries expected to surge to $6 billion from $2 billion.
