WASA assigns Muharram duties to various officers

FAISALABAD: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has assigned duties to its various officers to deal with any emergent situation regarding overflow of gutters and sanitation and water supply problems in the city up to 10th of Muharram-ul-Haraam.

According to a spokesman of the WASA, Director Operation Shaukat Ali was appointed as focal person in this regard and he will monitor the entire activities of the WASA staffers so that water supply and sanitation complaints could be resolved without any delay.

Giving details, he told that M. Ali Ahmad Deputy Director will be available in West Division on mobile phone number 0333-4133317 to resolve sanitation and sewerage complaints while Mian Riaz Sub Engineer can be contacted through 0333-6603688 for getting resolved sewerage complaints of Peoples Colony area.

Similarly, Farooq Alvi Sub Engineer will be available for Babar Chowk at 0300-6667318, Sub Engineer (SE) Muzaffar Usman for Fowara Chowk at 0314-3049140, SE Muhammad Imtiaz for Hide Market Area at 0344-7885773, SE Muhammad Afzal for Allama Iqbal Colony at 0301-6023167 and SE Irfan Yousuf for Samanabad at 0322-6093350.

For Madina Town area Sub Engineer Ghulam Sarwar could be contacted through 0344-6501479, for Mansoorabad, SE Nadeem Shehzad will be available at 0334-6867911 and for Ghulam Muhammad Abad area, Deputy Director Operation West Muhammad Anwar and Assistant Director Naeem Mohyuddin can be contacted through 0300-6659746 and 0300-7649535 respectively.

Likewise, SE Fakhir Safeer will also be available for Ghulam Muhammad Abad at 0333-6600911, SE Faraz Aslam for Kanak Basti at 0322-7740137, SE Umar Farooq for Gulshan Colony at 0314-6173700, Assistant Director Ejaz Lateef for Gulberg at 0300-7695480, SE Tahir Shabbir for Jhang Road at 0321-6641738, SE Muhammad Boota for City Area at 0322-6276874, Assistant Director Rohan Javaid for Civil Line area at 0322-4245035, SE Waqar Yaqoob for Noorpur at 0303-6225418, SE Muhammad Owais for Shadman Colony at 0322-6202873, SE Muhammad Athar for Civil Line at 0300-7275130 and SE Khalid Mehmood for Gulistan Colony at 0300-7652479.

The spokesman further told that Deputy Director Operation Water Muhammad Akbar (0333-6515210), Assistant Director Water Jamshaid Tariq (0332-6135068) and SE Muhammad Iqbal (0300-7654151) were assigned duties to resolve water supply complaints of Eastern Area whereas Assistant Director Water Ansaab Ali (0315-8365369), SE Riaz Ahmad Alvi (0333-6501412) will be responsible to redress complaints of Western Area regarding water supply. Meanwhile, Deputy Director Range Arshad Ali Rashid (0301-8657816), Assistant Director Range Muhammad Yaseen (0300-7670898), SE Muhammad Zeeshan (0321-7690887), Assistant Director Hamid Mehmood Shahid (0323-6762069) and SE Muhammad Irfan (0322-6093350) will remain available at WASA main head office.
