My voice needs to be heard and so does yours.

I, as a citizen of my beloved country Pakistan, have the right to say what I think and feel to demand a better place to live in. The same goes for you all too.

You also have all the right to disagree and express your opinions through peaceful protests.

We live in a democratic country. The importance of the right to protest peacefully can't be denied.

Practical implementation of freedom of speech, protest and expression is important for citizens to feel valued. These rights should be exercised fearlessly, and without any unlawful intervention or interference by the government or groups, belonging to a different school of thought.

It is the first and foremost step to living in a peaceful society; one in which people can access justice and enjoy their human rights without unnecessary limitations.

Despite the importance of freedom to express and protest, governments around the world imprison people for speaking out.

Being tolerant towards each other's views and interests is important for a peaceful country. We should respect the difference in opinions of other people too. For example, the Hijab March and Aurat March both have equal importance.

The basic manifesto behind both can't be undermined. The key is tolerance to at least listen to others and continue to express ourselves while remaining within boundaries to make sure no one gets hurt.

Thus, practice your right of expression in a way that no group with a different paradigm gets impacted negatively.

Keep pushing for the power of expression and speech, but do remember compassion and empathy.
