Senior IPS officer Arun Bothra was stopped by security officials at Jaipur airport when scanners indicated something odd. Upon inspection of luggage, a handbag was found full of green peas, the officer posted on Twitter.

Transport Commissioner of Odisha, Mr Bothra, shared the incident with netizens on the microblogging platform. He said that the picture was taken at the Jaipur airport.

The green peas were bought for at ₹40 per kilogram, the officer reported.

The picture went viral with over 50,000 likes and thousands of replies.

Some users shared their own experiences while others made puns and joked including Parveen Kaswan, a Forest Service officer.

Officer Bothra is an active Twitter-user with more than 200k followers.
