  • Update 2.49 by Google gives Google Home app a fresh design.
  • Google is focusing on making the app more user-friendly.
  • The design will be launched in a few weeks.

The upcoming 2.49 update by Google includes the Google Home app getting a brand new design making it more intuitive, reported The Verge.

Google aims to make the app more convenient for users and says that users should be able to “quickly find what they are looking for, dim compatible lights, and change the music volume in a snap.”

The update is all about user-friendliness where people will be able to make adjustments with one tap. A simple tap to turn devices on or off is just one example.

The last time Google Home received a major design change was in 2018.

Google plans to launch the new design in a few weeks.

While Google says that even the latest versions of the app on Android or iOS might not be sufficient to witness the changes, some users like former editor in chief of XDA-Developers, Mishaal Rahman, have already side-loaded the 2.49.1.8 update on Android and accessed the new settings.
