Indian weddings these days are often filled with drama and a recent wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar also made headlines for its dramatic ending, 

According to Indian Today, during the nikah ceremony, the bride called off the wedding at the eleventh hour, claiming that her family was forcing her to marry the groom. As a result, she said no during the nikkah and called the police.

Upon hearing the woman's story, the police reached the spot and took the couple to the station, where the bride tied the knot with her boyfriend.

"The bride told the police that her family members want to forcibly marry her while she wants to marry her lover in the Nagar Panchayat Ramkola," the publication reported.
