A woman was fined $2,470 for throwing her husband’s pet poodle out of the window that resulted in his death, Khaleej Times reported.

The woman's husband had asked for divorce. Angered by the request, she threw his pet dog out the window of their apartment on the 11th floor followed by a heated argument.

This incident occurred in March last year.

She had previously asked her husband to give the pet up as she believed it had caused the premature birth of their child. He refused and asked for divorce.

Reportedly, the woman was drunk while she committed the crime and the husband was not home.

"The accused killed the dog cruelly and was not forgiven by her husband," the court said.
