Seeing tigers while hunting or in their natural habitat is common. However, a video of a tiger jumping into water from a ferry is quite unusual and has been making the rounds on the internet.

In the video, the tiger could be seen jumping into the water and swimming to the shore, later disappearing into the woods after being rescued and released, India Today reported.

The video was shared on Twitter and was shot in the Sunderbans in West Bengal. Even though the video is old, it has resurfaced and amazed people once again.

Soon after the video went viral, it garnered more than 80k views and the numbers continue to increase. Some of social media users said the video reminded them of the movie 'Life of Pi' in which a tiger jumped out of a boat without returning back.
