  • Goons can be seen terrorising people in video; post captioned "taking away the cow smuggler".
  • Investigations show car used for abduction was government vehicle.

Rambakht Gopal, the man who was in the news in 2020 after opening fire on protesters at Jamia Millia Islamia University at an anti-CAA protest in Delhi, India, has allegedly published two videos of people being terrorised with guns.

According to India Today, videos were posted on the accused's Instagram account, @_rambhaktgopal_.

In one video, a man points a gun at people, including women and children as he drives.

In the other, some ruffians could be seen forcing a boy into an SUV. The license plate read "HR 70 D 4177."

Investigations showed that the car that was being used for the abduction was a government vehicle. The caption read, "Gau Raksha Dal, Mewat road, Haryana."

The videos were apparently removed later.

Kaushik Raj, a journalist and poet in India, had posted the video and the link to the Instagram post on his Twitter, however, with the caption, "Jamia shooter out on bail Rambhakt Gopal uploaded this video on his Instagram with the caption, "taking away the cow smuggler".

"Men with pistols can be seen taking away a man. They have full freedom to violate the law every day and still remain free."

In 2020's anti-CAA protest, Gopal had opened fire on students, shouting, "Kisko chahiye azadi? Main dunga azadi [Who wants freedom? I will give freedom.]"

While Gopal was released on bail by Indian courts, Muslim students arrested in the protest, such as Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Inam, have not received bail even after two years of the incident.

India Today reported that a complaint against Gopal has been registered with the DG of Haryana Police.
