NEW DELHI: At least 25 people were killed after a train in southern India caught fire on Monday, apparently because of an electrical short circuit, a report said.
NDTV television, citing a local railways official, said the train caught fire near Nellore in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The CNN-IBN channel put the toll lower at about five, but quoted officials saying it was expected to rise. (AFP)
