Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is all set to attend the opulent pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani, the son of Indian magnate Mukesh Ambani as part of his mini-tour of Asia, Bloomberg reported.

The lavish celebrations, scheduled from March 1-3, will take place at the Ambani's expansive Jamnagar estate. Mukesh Ambani, the 10th-richest individual globally, hosts a guest list that includes not only Zuckerberg but also prominent figures like Bill Gates and Ivanka Trump.

Meta, alongside Google and other giants, has invested substantial sums in Reliance's digital unit, Jio Platforms, aiming to compete with Amazon and Walmart in India's extensive e-commerce market.

Zuckerberg's presence at the Ambani wedding aligns with the strategic partnerships and investments shaping the technology landscape in the region.

Before attending the celebrations, Zuckerberg shared glimpses of his Asia tour, featuring unique experiences like sword-making in Japan.

His itinerary includes engagements with Facebook developers in Tokyo and scheduled meetings with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, as well as leaders from tech powerhouses Samsung and LG.

Notably, discussions in South Korea may extend to the development of a mixed-reality headset, positioning Meta in competition with Apple's Vision Pro.

The multi-faceted tour underscores Zuckerberg's engagement with cultural experiences, business collaborations, and high-profile events, marking a dynamic intersection of technology, commerce, and global affairs.
