Rihanna, a pop sensation from Barbados, electrified Jamnagar, India, last night at Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani's pre-wedding celebration.
Ahead of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's summer wedding, a three-day pre-wedding celebration got underway in Gujarat's Jamnagar on Friday.
The event featured a highly anticipated performance by international pop personality Rihanna, who made her debut in India yesterday but apparently neglected to complete her homework for the much-anticipated event.
Congratulating the couple of the moment amidst her performance on stage, the Diamonds singer said, “Good evening everyone. It is my honour to be here tonight. I have never been to India. And thanks to the Ambani family, I am here tonight.”
She continued: “Anant and Radiki (Radhika), thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations. How many of you believe in love?”
When the glamorous event's footage of Rihanna's mishap appeared on social media, online users immediately jumped on it and attacked her for neglecting her homework. Social media users responded to the video by asking, "9 million for this?" and adding, "This after paying 74 Crores."'
“Their names are ‘Anant and Radhika’ not Anant & Radki,” one of them corrected.
Someone even joked: “What the hell?! If I were Nita Ambani, I’d ask for a full refund. LOL!”
Besides Rihanna, other well-known people who are reported to have attended Ambani's bash include Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, former Canadian and Australian prime ministers, fellow Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla, cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, and the entire Bollywood film industry, which includes megastars Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan.
