Ruby Franke, a family and parenthood vlogger from Utah, along with her husband Kevin Franke and six children, showcased a perfect family on her now-defunct YouTube channel "8 Passengers".

However, a year after her marriage with Kevin fell apart, a shocking story of Ruby’s abuse of her two youngest children emerged.

In recently released police interview footage of Kevin after his wife was arrested for child abuse, he made some shocking revelations about his wife’s abusive treatment of their two youngest children.

According to ABC News, Kevin was interviewed for about 45 minutes by investigators with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on August 30, 2023, the day his wife was arrested for child abuse.

Ruby’s arrest came right after police received a report that her youngest son had escaped from the home of her business partner and marriage counsellor Jodi Hildebrandt’s home.

According to the report, the 12-year-old boy had climbed out of a window and knocked on a neighbor’s door to ask for food and water.

Officers initially considered Kevin as a suspect but body camera footage shows him revealing his whereabouts while his ex-wife and Hildebrandt abused his children?

Kevin told investigators that he was asked by his wife to move out of their house and not contact any of their children in July 2022. He said that this was due to his own, "addictions" and help he needed with adult films.

In the footage, Kevin appears upset and dismayed as investigators describe his children’s conditions and the evidence of abuse.

With no evidence tying him to the case, he was cleared as a suspect.

Ruby and Hildebrandt were sentenced to one to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to four second-degree aggravated child abuse charges in December.
