Five arrested for attack on Aurangzeb Farooqui

KARACHI: Five suspectes were arrested in connection with the attack on Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader Auragzeb Farooqui.

Police conducted a raid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 6 and took five individuals into custody. Police claimed to have recovered weapons from their possession. The suspects have been moved to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

ASWJ leader Maulana Farooqui was injured when armed men opened fire on his vehicle near Moti Mehal area in Gulshan-e-Iqbal town on Tuesday, killing six people including four policemen, his personal guard and a driver.
