What do we know about Melinda Gates' relationship after Bill Gates?

The former wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Melinda French Gates gave a crucial update about her life as she was rumoured to have been engaged with her partner, a former Fox News correspondent Du Pre.

A spokesperson for Melinda Gates told the People refuting rumours about her relationship that the 59-year-old philanthropist is not engaged and is no longer seeing Jon Du Pre.

Melinda and Gates separated in 2021 after 27 years of marriage during which they also founded the world’s one of the largest charitable organisation known as Gates Foundation in 2000.

Reports emerged that Melinda and Du Pre were dating in November 2022 as they were spotted multiple times together in several events such as a basketball game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics earlier in the year, according to the magazine.

The denial surfaced when her picture gained traction in which she was wearing a diamond ring.

The pictures released to the media showed her disembarking from a helicopter in New York City.

During the divorce, a joint statement from Melinda and Gates read at that time: "After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives."
