NAB Chairman gets no exemption from court appearance in contempt case
ISLAMABAD: The three member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry resumed hearing the NAB Chairman’s contempt of court case today.

During proceedings the Chief Justice remarked, that he has learned through media coverage that the President has formed a commission to take stock of the NAB Chairman, to which the NAB Chairman’s counsel responded that he had no idea about any such commission.

The NAB Chairman’s counsel pleaded the court to grant his client exemption from appearing before the court, a request that the bench rejected. Later the bench adjourned the hearing till the 14th of March, due to changes in the constitution of the bench. Justice Gulzar Ahmed is going to be replaced by Justice Khilji Arif.
