ISLAMABAD: Election tribunal has overturned objections raised against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Ayaz Amir and accepted his nomination papers for NA-60 Chakwal, Geo News reported.
In a surprising move, Returning Officer had rejected the nomination papers of Ayaz Amir over his columns concerning the ideology of Pakistan.
Speaking to media after the hearing, Ayaz Amir said “my case was different from other candidates. My candidature was rejected as I had given my personal opinion in the column of a newspaper”.
