Suzi Quatro, an iconic rock musician, just opened up about how she feels Elvis Presley sees her.
Speaking of the opportunity that was offered to her; to meet the iconic singer himself, she now stated that snubbing that chance is what Presley would be laughing about in heaven.
The now 74-yeaar-old bassist insisted that she was “busy” that time, telling BBC Essex that her idol (Presley) was "a blessing to the world.”
Recalling how watching him perform on television when she was five years old, changed her life, Quatro told the outlet, "He was the original rock and roller where people looked at him and thought 'what's he doing?'”
She continued, "He brought that electric, dangerous element to the music industry."
After Quatro brought Presley’s attention towards herself via the rendition of All Shook Up, who invited her to his Memphis home back in 1974, the singer turned broadcaster recalled turning down the offer.
"I was on tour and the phone rang in my hotel room and it was Elvis' people. I thought 'well this is a joke', but all of a sudden he came on the line and, well, you could've knocked me over with a feather," she recalled.
The Can the Can hitmaker recalled how the king of rock n roll himself called her cover of the song, "the best since my own.”
"[He said] I'd like to invite you to Graceland while you're in town and I replied 'I'm very busy.' It wasn't because I was scared, I just wasn't quite ready to meet him yet," she further detailed of the interaction she had with Presley.
Now, Suzi Quatro insists that Elvis Presley was not offended by her rejecting to offer to meet him and is just "up there laughing right now.”
"I think I wasn't supposed to meet him, instead he was a spiritual thing on my shoulder during my whole career," she concluded.
