Lala Kent revealed the personal toll on her family after Los Angeles wildfires.
On Thursday, the 34-year-old shared on Instagram Stories that her 4-month-old daughter, Sosa, was struggling to breathe due to poor air quality caused by the fires.
In regards to this, Kent wrote, “This morning, Sosa woke up and was really struggling to breathe. I made the decision to pack my family up and come to Palm Springs, strictly based on the air quality. This is where we will stay until LA is safe again.”
According to Daily Mail, Kent, who welcomed Sosa in September 2024, described the wildfires as “one of the most devastating situations I have ever seen.”
As per the publication, since January 7, multiple fires fueled by dry vegetation and severe winds have spread across Los Angeles, including the deadly Eaton Fire in Pasadena and the Pacific Palisades blaze near Malibu.
Moreover, officials have classified the Palisades Fire as the most destructive in Los Angeles County’s history, with significant property damage and an as-yet-unknown death toll.
Additionally, the National Weather Service warned of worsening conditions on Thursday, by stating that “critical fire weather” could exacerbate existing fires and cause new outbreaks.
In regards to this, Kent acknowledged the struggles of her community, by writing, “At this point, if you were not directly affected, you know someone who has lost everything.”
Furthermore, she shared her grief over the loss of entire neighborhoods, by adding, “It is unimaginable.”
It is worth mentioning that the Bravo star also praised first responders, calling them “our cities’ heroes,” and extended support to those affected, by saying, “You are not alone.”
