John Cena just gave a glimpse into his acting prowess with the first teaser of his upcoming series, Peacemaker, second season.

The Max series, which is a spin-off from 2021’s The Suicide Squad stars Cena in the titular role, embarking on journey to attain peace "at any cost", with the second season set to lead up to the story of James Gunn's Superman.

As Peacemaker is forced to confront his past, with his decisions coming into question, the series is witty, back-chatting and contains elaborate violence as well.

"Christopher 'Chris' Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost,” the logline of the upcoming season reads.

John Cena would be sharing the screen for Peacemaker with stars including Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Nhut Le and Robert Patrick.

James Gunn, who has written all eight episodes for the second season has also opened up about the plot of Peacemaker, stating:

"The second season's much more about the characters and the interconnectivity between the characters and their personal lives. It's more about Chris Smith than it is about Peacemaker."
