Queen Camilla on Wednesday visited Westminster Abbey Sacristy Project to unveil the foundation stone for the King Charles III Sacristy.

According to a report, the Sacristy will house state-of-the-art welcome, security and ticketing facilities, allowing the Abbey itself to be preserved as a sacred space.

The report said that the King Charles III Sacristy will replace existing facilities, allowing the abbey to better manage the millions of visitors it receives each year while maintaining its historic and spiritual significance.

On Tuesday, the Queen joined King Charles to attend Elephant Family’s ‘Wonders of the Wild’ event at Kew Gardens, to celebrate art and conservation

The royal family said the event recognised the work of the charity and is the conclusion of the ‘Big Egg Hunt’; a public art trail which brought together leading artists and designers to create more than 120 egg sculptures, displayed at iconic locations across London.

"The Elephant Family works in partnership with conservation experts on the ground to tackle the challenges facing Asia’s wildlife and the communities that live alongside it. "

"Established by Her Majesty’s brother, Mark Shand, in 2002, the charity has helped to deliver pioneering projects to protect wildlife, restore habitats and promote coexistence between people and animals. The charity is now part of the British Asian Trust."
