Julia Roberts announced the death of her longtime dog Myrtle on Friday.

The actress, 57, shared the sad news with a photo of the 19-year-old mix breed dog on Instagram.

"Our Myrtle. A Legend. 2006-2025," Robert wrote, adding a crown emoji to the caption.

Roberts' husband, Danny Moder, also dropped a sweet tribute separately.

"The definition of Fierce Loyalty, even if she bit the pizza man once. RIP Mytlle…aka Myrtle Von Mertzenberger," read his post which went along with a closeup of Martle's face.

The actress adopted the dog two years after welcoming 20-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus in 2004. The actress then welcomed her third and youngest child, Henry Daniel, 17, in 2007 with her husband Moder, 56.

The actress also has a chocolate Labrador named Major, another longtime pet. The family once briefly lost the pup in 2017 before being reunited with the help of a neighbour.
