Quentin Tarantino is known for his unique filmmaking style, which has won him several awards.

Besides him, Richard Linklater, the American director, made a film about legendary filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, titled New Wave.

It opened to standing ovation from his peers, including the Pulp Fiction director.

“I’ve known Tarantino, like for 30 years or whatever. He’s one of my oldest film buddies, so to have him there was cool,” the 64-year-old said.

He continued, “I told Quentin last night that I felt like I was 28 years old making this film. I remember on ‘Slacker,’ I felt the pressure of, yeah, everybody’s looking at you like you don’t know what you’re doing."

"And you’re full of confidence and cinematic ideas and revolution, and then the real world is around you kind of going: ‘Oh yeah? So, what now?’ It’s an exhilarating, but fraught mindset," Richard added.

The official synopsis reads, "This is the story of Godard making 'Breathless,' told in the style and spirit in which Godard made 'Breathless.'"

New Wave will be out on October 8.
