Dolly Parton has opened up about potentially joining Beyoncé on the Cowboy Carter concert’s stage.

While chatting with HuffPost, the 11-time Grammy winner candidly discussed her collaboration with Beyoncé for her eight studio album song, Jolene.

“I was very honoured that she wanted to do her version of Jolene,” she began by saying. “That’s all a great compliment to me, when somebody wants to do my songs in any version.”

Referring to Beyoncé’s version of Jolene, which retained the original melody but changed some lyrics, the songstress continued, “I was very amused by her take on that, and I got a big kick out of that. She’s not gonna sit back and say, ‘Oh please don’t take my man.’ She’s gonna kick some a**!”

For those unversed, Parton secretly recorded a song that is locked in a time capsule at Dollywood's DreamMore Resort and it will be released in 2045.

“It’s not supposed to be open ’til I’ll be 100... which... that’s the day after tomorrow. So I’m not supposed to say what it is, and who knows, I may be there to sing it,” the Islands In The Stream singer told the publication.

“I’ve wanted to say to them a time or two, ‘That song was so good! Can I just put another song in there? Can I dig that one up? Put something else? I thought. No, that’s just a deal we made, and we’ll see.’ Some of you will be around!” Dolly Parton added before signing off.

Cowboy Carter Tour launched on April 28, 2025 and is scheduled to conclude on July 26, 2025.
