Angela Bassett’s character Ramonda in Black Panther met its end in the second installment.

However, when appearing on Good Morning America to promote the latest Mission Impossible film, she was asked, “And of course, a lot of people are like, ‘Oh my goodness,’ talking about Wakanda. Another movie, perhaps a third one.”

In reply, the Academy-nominated star said, “That would be wonderful," sharing a scenario where she could appear in the upcoming installment.

“I could be there. You know? It could happen. I would, absolutely," the 66-year-old said, pointing to the Ancestral Plane, where Wakandan people go after their deaths.

It is unconfirmed whether Angela will appear in Black Panther 3, but it is expected that the film will be released in 2028.

Ryan Cooler, the director of the Marvel film, explained the reason for this delay. “It is interesting for you to ask where this came from and timing it before Black Panther 3."

“It was my realization that I had been on this path of what I could make and what I wanted to make. And realizing they had all been in the service of stories that were outside of myself," the filmmaker shared who opted to make Michael B. Jordan's Sinners first.
