Phil Collins has some global commitment to the Disney's Tarzan music.

In a resurfaced video posted to his official TikTok, Collins recalls the moment he was told he'd need to record the film’s songs in multiple languages.

In regards to this, he shared in the throwback clip, “Someone said, ‘We go to 35 countries. So… are you going to try singing in Spanish or Swahili?’”

Prior to working on Tarzan, Collins had “never ever sung anything in another language.”

However, that changed dramatically as he said, “That’s another plus — another new thing I’ve learned while doing this project,” while calling the experience transformative.

Moreover, the clip goes on to show Collins singing Strangers Like Me in both French and Spanish.

In total, he recorded songs in five languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, and English.

Additionally, Collins wrote and performed the music for the 1999 Disney film alongside artists like Rosie O'Donnell, Glenn Close, and NSYNC, with Mark Mancina composing the original score.

As per the outlet, the soundtrack earned Collins a Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack Album and an Academy Award and Golden Globe for You’ll Be in My Heart.

Furthermore, that award-winning track was originally written as a lullaby for his daughter, Lily Collins, who revealed on Harry in 2016 that it was his way of sharing Disney magic with his children.
