Jackie Chan recently got candid and opened up about his relationship with his deceased mother, Lee-lee.

While having a conversation with PEOPLE magazine to promote his new movie, Karate Kid: Legends, the 70-year-old Hong Kong actor and filmmaker revealed that his mother “never” watched any of his films.

He said of his mother, “My Mom never watched the whole of one of my movies.”

Chan went on to explain that his late mom did not want to watch his movies, like the series of Police Story and Rumble in the Bronx, due to his dangerous stunts in those films.

The Kung Fu Panda star shared, “She started the movie, starts at the beginning, maybe the credits. [But] when she sees I’m doing a stunt, she turns around.”

“When I hit somebody, she didn’t want to see. Somebody hit me, she didn’t want to see. She never watched a whole movie,” he noted.

Despite never watching any of his movies from start to end, The Foreigner actor mentioned that his mother was an ardent fan of his craft.

“She had all my posters. She touched and kissed them before sleeping. That’s my mom,” Jackie Chan stated.

It is pertinent to mention that Lee-lee, who was a housekeeper, passed away at the age of 86 in 2002.
