King Charles has apparently sent a strong message to his estranged son Prince Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle regarding David Beckham.
According to a report by the Daily Express, the monarch has sent clear message to Prince Harry with David Beckham knighthood.
According to AFP, former England football captain and global fashion icon David Beckham was knighted on Friday for his services to sport and charity, with The Who singer Roger Daltrey and actor Gary Oldman also receiving the honour.
Beckham will now be known as "sir" and his wife Victoria, a former member of the Spice Girls pop group, will be known as Lady Beckham.
The 50-year-old, who has long been in the running for a knighthood, was appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2003 -- a lesser award in Britain´s honours system.
Victoria later received the same award for services to the fashion industry.
Beckham´s knighthood is the culmination of years of tireless efforts to transcend football and turn himself into a global icon at the intersection of sport, fashion and business.
David Beckham’s Knighthood comes amid reports Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have apparently become an ‘absolute nightmare’ for Victoria and David by getting close to their son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz.
Victoria and David are allegedly enraged by Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz's apparent newfound friendship with Harry and Meghan.
According to OK! Magazine, commenting on Meghan and Harry’s new bond with Nicola and Brooklyn, the source claimed, "This is an absolute nightmare for Victoria and David.”
The insider further said, “It’s put them in an incredibly awkward position, especially given how close they are to Prince William and Kate Middleton."
