Tish Cyrus reveals why she unfollowed Miley Cyrus

Miley and Tish Cyrus finally talked about the rumors of a rift between the daughter-mother duo.

Despite Tish unfollowing Miley on Instagram last month, the two have clarified that they are in fact on cordial terms with one another.

During the latest episode of her podcast, Sorry We're Cyrus, Tish explained that she had accidentally unfollowed Miley.

"Literally, they were all freaking out thinking I really unfollowed you on Instagram," the 58-year-old said referencing her Grammy-award winning daughter and then added, "It was the worst."

During the conversation, Miley joked that the timing was "weird" as Tish had unfollowed her around the time she went to visit her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

"If you were in the family or not in the family, it was weird timing," the Wrecking Ball crooner said, adding, "I went to see (my dad) B-Ray, and you did mysteriously unfollow me - and then you got some backlash and suddenly knew how to press that follow button."

"The truth is boring," Miley clarified.

"There's a bug in Meta, it naturally unfollows the person that you follow with the most engagement... I was either, like, 'Mom lost her glasses and can't see,' which is what I thought happened. Then, there was actually a bug in Meta,” the Flowers hitmaker further mentioned.

As Miley Cyrus explained the scenario, Tish confessed that the hate she received at the time was "insane."
