ISLAMABAD: Director met department Dr Khalid Malik said that a light rain spell is expected on July 7 in upper areas of Punjab while current heat wave in the country will continue for the next couple of days.
Director met said that although this rain spell will not reduce the temperature but another rain spell expected on July 10 will lessen the heat in KPK, Kashmir, upper areas of the country while this will also affect the southern belt of Punjab.
To a question he said that initial week of Ramzan will be restful as another spell, though light in nature, is going to start from 14 July.
He said that these rains are very useful for cotton crops, this rain water should be preserved for the corps.
He said that by mid Ramzan temperature will rise across the Punjab and upper parts of the country.
He further said that monsoon rains that are expected in Sindh are going to affect the Hyderabad city as well.
